Pork adobo recipe from the Philippines. This is the Filipino style pork adobo and often served with rice. In this recipe, you will learn how to cook pork adobo.
Filipino Pork Adobo Cooking Ingredients
- 2.2 lbs of pork, shoulder, or butt
- 6 cloves of crushed garlic
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 1/2 cups of water
Servings: 4 - 6
Filipino Pork Adobo Cooking Instructions
- Slice the pork in cubes. Adobo is usually sliced in 2×2 inch cubes.
- Combine all the ingredients and boil
- Once it starts boiling, lower the heat and cook at medium heat for about an hour or until pork is tender.
- Add water if needed. Add salt if needed.
- Adjust taste.
